When it comes to raising funds and promoting autism awareness, there is nothing that the South Lanarkshire branch of the National Autistic Society won’t sign up for! Even if that means facing up to a house full of restless spirits! That’s is exactly what we did on our 1st Annual Ghost Hunt for Autism event!
With the help of Lanarkshire Paranormal, a group of brave souls spend a cold and dark winter night in a 500 year old haunted house! It was definitely an eventful night and there were a few skeptics who soon became believers! Nothing was planned in advance – this was not an orchestrated haunted house attraction, but a serious paranormal investigation. A number of our guests have some spooky tales to tell including some of our branch committee members who encountered the spirit of a young girl who was searching for her sister. You can read some of the media coverage of the event here.
