Notice of Special General Meeting to be held in
The New Farm Restaurant, East Kilbride on
Monday 7 June 2004 at 7:30pm

Dear PALS member,

Unfortunately, the management committee of PALS feel they have come to the end of the road with regard to campaigning and therefore are proposing to wind up the organisation of PALS.  There is currently around £2000 (accounts still to be finalised) in the bank account and the Management Committee are proposing that all remaining funds are given to South Lanarkshire Leisure Limited (SLL).  PALS has no other assets to dispose of.

On a more positive note, Integrated Children’s Services (ICS) and SLL hope to run similar provisions to last summer for pre-school and primary school age children respectively.  Details are still being finalised, and they will contact you directly in due course.  If your details are not already registered with them, please contact:

Pre-School Children
Margo Mooney (Sure Start Team)     01355 571057

Primary Children
Sheena Henderson (SLL Ltd)            01698 476196
Louise Gordon (SLL Ltd)                  01698 476112

We hope for a good turn out at the meeting, but if you are unable to attend, please use your postal vote. Please download the postal vote form (pdf) and return to the address indicated.

If PALS is disbanded, we would like to thank everyone for their support and hope that PALS has raised awareness of the lack of out of school facilities for our children.

ICS and SLL will continue to consult parents regarding playschemes through the local parent support groups; South Lanarkshire branch of the National Autistic Society and the Clydesdale Autism Support Group and directly via questionnaires etc.

If you require any further information, please contact Caroline Tait on 01355 231706 or email.

Yours sincerely

PALS Management Committee
